Projecting Signs – Frequently Asked Questions
What is a projecting sign?
A projecting sign, also called flag signs is a sign that extends outward from the wall it is mounted on, typically perpendicular to the wall of a building. This design allows the sign to be visible from multiple angles, making it ideal for grabbing the attention of pedestrians or drivers passing by. Projecting signs are often used by stores, restaurants, and other businesses to grab attention.
How are projecting signs mounted?
Projecting signs are mounted to the side of a building using brackets or frames. These can be designed to hold the sign securely while allowing it to project outward from the wall.
Key Features of SIGNLINK Projecting Signs:
- Visibility: They are visible from both directions, unlike flat wall-mounted signs.
- Mounting: Attached to buildings with brackets, often projecting from the facade.
- Materials: Frames are in aluminium with face panels also being aluminium or composite sheet material.
- Design: Available in multiple shapes, sizes, and finishes, often customizable for brand identity.
Projecting signs are particularly effective for businesses in crowded urban areas, helping increase foot traffic by drawing attention to the business from various angles.
Where are projecting signs most commonly used?
Projecting signs are often used for retail stores, restaurants, offices, and other businesses in high-traffic areas where visibility from multiple angles is important.
Are your projecting signs weather-resistant?
Yes, projecting signs are designed to withstand outdoor conditions. SIGNLINK uses high quality aluminium, or composite sheets with anodised aluminium and powder-coated finishes to offer added protection against the weather.
