Ceiling Suspended Signs – Frequently Asked Questions
What are suspended signs?
Suspended signs are signs that hang from the ceiling or overhead structures, supported by cables, chains, rods or flush mounts. They are commonly used for wayfinding, information display, and branding in high-traffic areas.
Where can suspended signs be used?
They are versatile and can be used in shopping centres, airports, offices, medical facilities, universities, event venues, restaurants, and retail stores to display important information or direct traffic.
What materials are used for suspended signs?
Our suspended signs are made from aluminium with the face plates being either SNA aluminium or composite aluminium sheet material.
Can the face plates on your suspended signs be changed?
Yes. Our suspended sign models can feature interchangeable face plates, allowing for quick updates and customisation when information changes. Although our common supply is with permanent face plates. Note that this does increase the signs overall weight.
Are suspended signs visible from all directions?
Yes, suspended signs are typically designed to be double-sided, ensuring visibility from multiple directions, making them ideal for busy environments.
Can you customise my suspended signs with logos or specific branding?
Absolutely! We can customise the suspended signs to include your company’s logo, colours, or other branding elements, offering a professional and cohesive look.
What is the difference between suspended signs and projecting signs?
While the models we provide for both ranges are the same, the suspended signs hang from the ceiling, and the projecting signs are mounted on walls and extend outwards. Both are designed to be highly visible, but suspended signs are generally used indoors to direct people to the right location within the building.
Are suspended signs suitable for outdoor use?
Suspended signs are typically used indoors, but outdoor versions can be made using weather-resistant materials and different mounting methods if required.
How are suspended signs installed?
SIGNLINK offers various sizes, depending on your needs. Models like the CS300P are designed for smaller signs, while the Hallmark Series and Top Hat Model can accommodate larger signage.
What sizes are available for suspended signs?
Suspended signs are installed by attaching them to the ceiling or overhead structures using cables with CAD ceiling fittings or rods for a solid suspended fitting.
Alternatively these can be mounted flush to the ceiling. SIGNLINK can provide installation guidance or services if needed. Both the CS300 and Hallmark ceiling suspended signs can be supplied with rigid rods for ceiling suspension.
